How good are you at being good to yourself?
Are you conscious of the need for self-care?
You likely work hard at your job and try to spend quality time with your family and friends. You may donate time and money to charities and causes. And most of us would also be there to lend a helping hand for family members and friends with no questions asked.
But what about YOU?
How much quality time are you giving to yourself?
You can't pour from an empty cup.
You can't take care of others unless you are first taking care of yourself.
Self-care is NOT selfish.
Our bodies and minds need time to recharge.
We can't be all work and no play... not without it eventually taking a toll on our health anyway.
The month of May is Bloom's anniversary. It's also known as Mental Health Awareness month. Did you know that regular exercise not only benefits your physical health, but is also great for your mental health as well? And quite honestly, sometimes merely walking into Bloom improves your mood before the exercise has even started! We have a pretty amazing community!
As we embark upon a 5-year celebration of serving this community, we are reminded of how much has changed over the years and yet how much still remains the same.
It is still our goal to encourage you to be the best version of YOU possible.
It is still our goal to provide you with an amazing workout... one that's effective and challenging, yet doable for all fitness levels.
It is still our goal to encourage you not only to show up for exercise, but to also step outside your comfort zone and try new things, whether it be different classes or different instructors.
